The team led by Academician Ge Junbo from Zhongshan Hospitalaffiliated with Fudan University, including Professors Zhou Daxin, PanWenzhi, Zhang Yuan, Li Mingfei, Zhang Weijing, and Li Wei from theCardiac Ultrasound Diagnostics Department, successfully performed aTAVR procedure using the TaurusMaxTM TAVR System on a patient witha severely calcified Type 1 bicuspid valve with right-left fusion.
During the operation, the selfexpanding valve system, equippedwith dual-axis steering technology,demonstrated safe and efficientnavigation through the aortic archand across the valve. The systemmaintained coaxial alignmentduring the valve deploymentphase and allowed for stabledeployment and detachment in asteered state. The final valveimplantation achieved excellentresults, significantly improving thepatient's hemodynamics.
