The board (the “Board”) of directors (the “Directors”) of the Company is pleasedto announce that Shanghai Achieva Medical Suzhou Co., Ltd. (“Achieva Medical”),a subsidiary of the Company, entered into an exclusive distribution agreement (the“Agreement”) with B. Braun Medical (Shanghai) International Trading Co., Ltd. (“B.Braun Medical”).
Pursuant to the Agreement, Achieva Medical has obtained the exclusive distribution rightsin the Chinese mainland for SeQuent® Please CIS Paclitaxel Drug-Coated IntracranialBalloon Dilatation Catheter (“SeQuent® Please CIS” or the “Product”), a product ofB. Braun Medical.
SeQuent® Please CIS is an intracranial paclitaxel drug-coated balloon dilatation catheterdeveloped based on B. Braun Medical’s mature drug-coated balloon (“DCB”) technology.During mechanical dilatation at the target lesion, the product will release the coatedpaclitaxel precisely to the diseased vascular wall, which will serve as antiproliferativeagents to reduce neointimal hyperplasia effectively and lower the risk of restenosis in longterm. The Product is specifically designed for the anatomical characteristics of intracranialvessels, including narrow and tortuous pathways, and is intended to provide an innovative“implant-free” treatment option for intracranial vascular diseases. As at the date of thisannouncement, the registration application for the Product has been submitted to theNational Medical Products Administration of the People’s Republic of China.
